BRC Presents Findings from Diverse Supplier Projects

A Big Red Consulting team member explains the assessment process for Maguire’s marketing strategy.

As we reported in February, Big Red Consulting (BRC) teams this past fall worked with selected diverse suppliers on projects to help them grow their businesses. In May, the BRC graduate student team members presented their findings and conclusions for each of the five projects to an audience of senior staff leadership, JGSM faculty and staff members, and some of the participating suppliers. At the meeting, suppliers remarked about how well the projects were done, how much they appreciated BRC’s efforts, and how they believed the projects will help their businesses grow.

The participating diverse suppliers included Maguire Family of Dealerships, Roberts Office Interiors (roi), Laboratory Product Sales (LPS), Stovroff & Taylor Travel (STT), and The Presentation Source. Projects ranged from marketing strategy assessments to resource allocation valuations to revenue growth analyses.

These five projects constituted the largest number of projects the BRC teams have completed to date since beginning this collaboration with Procurement Services in 2012. Three of the projects were follow-ups to previous-years, and two of them were new.

The collaboration between BRC and Procurement Services will continue, and more projects are slated for this coming fall. More photos from the May meeting are available on Flickr.
